Site Consultation
The initial phone call to The Ground Pros begins the process
of determining your landscape maintenance needs. Once
your general maintenance needs are established, we'll
schedule an appointment for a property walk through with
one of our maintenance experts. During this visit to your site,
our staff will discuss your landscape maintenance
preferences and requirements, review any problem areas on
your property, and record the specific property and plant data
required to customize the perfect maintenance program for
you.
Proposal
Once the walk-through has been executed, our staff will
analyze your property data, plant scape, and personal
landscape requirements to determine which combination of
regular and seasonal services will both address your
preferences and keep your property in peak condition all year
long. Your maintenance proposal will outline and describe
these services, including quantity and price for each type of
maintenance visit, and will offer you a variety of convenient
payment methods. Our staff will then set up an appointment
to review your maintenance program proposal with you, or if
preferred, will happily send you your proposal via US Mail
or email. The Ground Pros at info@thegroundpros.com office
hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
Our staff is available to answer any questions or address any
concerns you may have regarding your proposal.
Execution
Once you've signed and returned a copy of your maintenance
program contract to The Ground Pros, our staff will schedule
your year-long services, working closely with you to meet
any of your specific scheduling needs, both in advance and as
they arise. Our maintenance crews are held to the highest
standards of courtesy and professionalism, and are trained to
execute their maintenance services with the least
inconvenience to you, leaving your property pristine and
clean, every visit. Our Area Supervisor will also personally
inspect your property during routine quality assurance visits
to ensure that your services have been executed to our high
standards.
Review
We want to be sure that our services are executed to your
satisfaction. If, at any time you require a change in your
maintenance program or find any service problematic, a
quick call to The Ground Pro’s will put our maintenance
experts on the problem. We'll work with you to meet any
challenge your property or schedule presents.

Maintenance contracts run through the end of October each
year. We are committed to ensure that your renewed
maintenance contract will continue to completely meet your
needs and our standards through extensive data analysis,
checking all services for maximum efficiency and fair pricing.
Mowing, Trimming, Edging & Blowing
Regular Mowing services round out the All Season
Maintenance Program, and are scheduled to coincide with the
beginning of turf growing season. Our mowing and
trimming teams will treat your lawn with care and leave your
property clean with a professioal look every time. This
service can be paired with Leaf Management Services in the
Fall to keep your lawn tidy and leaf-free.
1) We take whatever time it requires making your lawn look
good.
• If we have to cut lawns twice in one visit, then we do so at
no extra charge.
2) Frequent mowing helps a lawn resist weeds, insects and
disease.
• Infrequent mowing causes too much grass to be removed at
one time. Infrequently mowed grass also produces a lawn
that looks thin, spotty or burned.
3) Most cool season grass types such as fescue and bluegrass
have a recommended cutting height between 2 and 3 inches.
• We generally cut grass at 3 inches because a lawn cut at this
height will have a deeper root system and be more resistant
to weeds and disease than shorter cut grass.
4) Mulching your clippings is an excellent way to return
valuable nutrients to your lawn.
• Finely cut clippings contain approximately 80% water, 5%
nitrogen, 1% phosphorous and 2% potassium. The nitrogen
component of grass clippings can provide about 1/3 of the
yearly nitrogen requirement of a lawn.
5) We never leave clumps of grass behind.
• Clumps of grass suffocate the grass underneath, and reduce
the pleasant appearance of a fresh cut lawn.
6) We sharpen our blades daily.
• Sharp mower blades help your lawn grow healthier.
• Dull mower blades will not only make your grass appear
jagged and uneven they will also make your lawn more
susceptible to disease.
7)We always alter the cutting pattern.
• If the cutting pattern remains the same or is varied
infrequently, over time unsightly grooves will develop in
your lawn.
Spring Clean Up
Designed to address winter wear and tear and rejuvenate
your landscape for the growing season. Offered in late
winter. During the Spring Clean Up, we'll clean, weed and
mulch your planting beds, detail any perennials needing
attention, and prune as seasonally recommended to freshen
your landscape and prepare for greener days to come.
1) Prep work to all landscape/ flower beds.
• We blow-out the leaves and light debris.
• We remove garbage, twigs, and fallen berries.
• We remove weeds in the beds.
2) Edging of all the landscape/ flower beds.
• We put a fresh edge on all the beds.
• Whether our customers prefer a straight line, curved line, or
to maintain the original shape of the beds, we always consult
them before edging to better understand their desires.
• We always contact the MISS DIG System before edging,
digging, or working near overhead electric wires to insure
safety and unwanted loss of service to our customers.
3) Mulching of all the landscape/ flower beds.
• We allow our customers to choose the type of mulch they
prefer, but we usually recommend hard wood, double-
processed mulch throughout all beds.
• We DO NOT avoid areas behind bushes and hard-to-reach
places
• We put a fresh topping of mulch in all the beds,
approximately 2 inches deep to keep weeds under control.
4)We dispose of all debris we collected and all edgings as
well.
• We cleanup any mess we made ourselves.
Fall Clean Up
Our Fall Clean Up service puts your garden to bed for the
year and prepares all features of your landscape for winter.
Service begins in October, the perfect time to clear your
landscape of overgrowth, clean out all existing beds, prune
all shrubs, and cutback your perennials as needed for the
change of seasons. A light dusting of mulch on all planting
beds completes the service.
1) Prep work to the property and to the landscape/ flower
beds.
• We remove fallen branches, twigs, and debris; that would
otherwise suffocate the grass underneath.
• We blow-out the leaves and light debris.
• We DO NOT avoid areas behind bushes and hard-to-reach
places.
2) Removal of all leaves from the property.
• We blow down into the grass and soil; to bring up the
debris clinging to the base of the lawn.
• When the blowers cannot bring up leaves and debris in the
moist areas, we rake up the leaves into piles.
• When debris is not removed from moist areas, not only will
they suffocate the lawn, but they will also promote the
growth of damaging disease organisms.
• We rake the piles of leaves onto tarps, and then drag the
tarps to our truck to dispose of them.
• Not only will we remove the leaves from your lawn and
landscape areas, but we’ll also take the leaves with us when
we are finished.
3) We always clean up any mess we made ourselves.
• We blow off all walkways, patios, decks and driveways.
Broadcast Over seeding
Performed in conjunction with the Aeration service, this
application includes 3-4 lbs of seed per one thousand square
feet of turf area. This allows us to introduce new seed
varieties into your lawn, increasing your turf's resistance to
environmental stresses.
Tree & Shrub Pruning
Our tree and shrub experts can ensure your plants' health and
increase your bloom quotient wit a few well-timed pruning
services. Pruning is a key part of maximizing your
landscape's beauty and maintaining its ideal size, and is
scheduled as horticulturally recommended for each tree and
shrub species. Tree pruning is best done in winter, during
your tree's dormant months. Flowering shrubs are best
pruned after blooming periods.
Tree & Shrub Fertilization
We offer deep-root feeding for trees, and shrub fertilization
services, both specifically designed to optimize the nutrient
availability and health of your plant scape.
Snow Services This service ranges from plowing and
shoveling to ice melt application. Snow Service pricing is
based on a per push on amount of inches or a set price to
push every time service is needed.
